RECREATIONAL PILOT PERMIT (RPP)

This permit is a quick and easy way to obtain a flight certification allowing you to fly any four-place aircraft (daytime only).  What does the RPP License allow you to do:

  • Under VFR conditions the pilot can act as a pilot-in-command of a single engine aircraft.
  • No more than one passenger is to be carried on board and flights are limited to Canadian Airspace.
  • The RPP is easily upgradeable to a Private pilot license (PPL).
  • Only a Non-High Performance Aircraft is permitted to operate.

Transport Canada Requirements:

  • Minimum 25 hours flying time required.
  • An applicant shall be a minimum of sixteen years of age.
  • Ground school not required but is recommended.
  • Flight test administered by Transport Canada Inc.
  • Must obtain a minimum of (60% on RPPAE exam or PPAER exam).
PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE (PPL)

Looking to share the freedom of flight with family and friends or have decided to pursue your dreams further and obtain your commercial license. The PPL allows your to do cross-country trips, add ratings to your license ( night rating, IFR, etc) as well as convert your qualifications to meet the standards set forth by other countries. Our excellent flight training and ground school program makes it possible for you to soar to even greater heights. 

    Transport Canada Requirements:

  • Minimum of 45 hours flight-time.
  • Minimum 40 hours of ground school.
  • Flight test administered by Transport Canada Inc.
  • Must complete Transport Canada’s written exam (60% on PPAER)
  • Once student has completed a minimum of 20 hours flight-time they are permitted to complete their night rating which is mandatory to receive their CPL and ATPL License.
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE (CPL)

For our students who have the dream of working for Commercial Airline Companies, it is essential that they obtain their commercial pilot license (CPL). This opens the door to unlimited possibilities as it puts them on their way towards their career goals.

Transport Canada Requirements:

  • Minimum 200 hours of flight-time.
  • Minimum of 80 hours of ground school.
  • Flight test administered by Transport Canada Inc. (minimum of 150 hours total flight time and written exam passed)
  • Must obtain a minimum of 60% on CPAER written exam with a minimum of 100 hours total flight-time.
AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE (ATPL)

For those students who wish to work for an airline, it is mandatory to have an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Our students who have already obtained their Commercial Pilot license will be eligible to work as a co-pilot or a first officer. However, if they choose to eventually become a Captain they will need a minimum of 1500 hours of flight-time to obtain their (ATPL). Upon graduation we offer our students the opportunity to work for our academy as an instructor to they can dock hours to work towards this goal.
